Research
My academic work is about improving quality control in microtask crowdsourcing. Among other venues, it was published in ACM Computing Surveys, ACM CSCW, AAAI HCOMP and IEEE Internet Computing. I was a visiting researcher at Appen (formerly CrowdFlower) in San Francisco in 2013.

Earlier ventures
In 2016 I cofounded Univerius SRLS, offering direct observation of the Moon, the Sun and the planets of the solar system in Italy. Before that I cofounded and acted as CTO of Codesign — a simple feedback tool used by more than 8,000 people to discuss websites, design mockups and presentations. In 2015 I was accepted to the Entrepreneur First startup incubator in London, though I turned down the offer. I was CTO of SmartWall in 2013, generating live feeds of social activity for events (we failed to grow). With Showitme in 2012 we won first place at the InnovAction Lab startup competition in Trento. At 21 (2008), together with 2 hired employees, I gave paid telescope demonstrations of the Moon to more than 4,000 people in my hometown of Ufa, Russia. At 19 I was selling job offers to students joining the Work&Travel program in the USA.
Open-source
I'm the author of Social-feed, a JavaScript plugin that displays social network posts on websites — 800+ stars and 250+ forks on GitHub, with an active contributor community. As part of my research I built ReLauncher, which speeds up microtask execution on crowdsourcing platforms such as Appen several times over. Before that I built CrowdCafe, an open-source mobile crowdsourcing platform.
